highway to heaven

At dinner with my friends
somebody called me out
"cm'on, there's something
you should see"
there I saw three lines
up in a blue, blue sky
and the first thougt
that came into my mind
was about a road appeared in the sky,
stairway to heaven, to show me why
when I'm with them everything seems
to be alright.

Dedicato a tutti gli amici, ormai longevi,
di teatro. Che quando sono con loro,
coi loro sorrisi e tutto l'affetto che c'è,
magicamente appare la strada che
mi porta al settimo cielo.
Ed ogni anno è a senso unico.
